Outline Itinerary

- Thimphu – 2 Nights: Hotel Majestic/89
- Punakha /Wangdue – 1 Night: Hotel Yak Herders/Similar
Day 1 – Arrive at Paro (7,000 ft)
- Bhutan staff will greet you upon arrival at Paro Airport/Bagdogra Airport and then transfer to Thimphu through the beautiful valleys of Paro to the capital of Bhutan.
Check in the hotel and take an evening walk down the town.
Spend overnight at hotel.
Day 2 – Thimphu Sightseeing
- Morning after breakfast, visit memorial Chorten – built in the memory of Lt. His Majesty the King by Royal Queen Mother. Then visit Buddha Point from where one can see the entire Thimphu.
Later visit Changangkha, Lhakhang, Motithang – mini Zoo to see the National animal “The Takin”. Then drive down to viewpoint from where you have magnificent view of Thimphu valley; visit National Library to see the large collection of traditional books, Folk Heritage museum where you can see the typical Bhutanese house and their lifestyle and school of arts and craft.
Evening at leisure followed by overnight at hotel.
Day 3 – Thimphu – Punakha/Wangdi
- Morning after breakfast, visit and transfer to Punakha through Dochula Pass from where one can see the beautiful view of Eastern Himalayan Range on a clear sunny day. Visit Punakha town and visit the Punakha Dzong – the summer residence of Central Monastic body.
Later visit Wangdi town.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 – Wangdi/Punakha – Paro
- Transfer to Paro in morning and on the way visit Chimi Lhakhang at Lobesa stop in Thimphu for lunch and proceed to Paro.
Spend overnight at hotel.
Day 5 – Paro sightseeing
- Move ahead for an early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery and on the way back visit Kyichu Lhakhang and later visit “Ta Dzong” – the National Museum housed in an ancient watchtower which has a fine collection of ancient Thangka painting, textiles, weapons and artefacts.
In the evening, visit Dungtse Lhakhang and walk around the Ugyen Pelri Palace and the traditional wooden bridge.
Spend overnight at hotel.
Day 6 – Departure
- Early Morning transfer to Airport for your onward flight
